2. PNB Personal Loan Scheme for Pensioners

This loan is given exclusively to those who take out pension through Punjab National Bank. One can utilise this loan for any personal requirements and these can include medical expenditures as well. Any pensioner who takes a pension from any PNB branch can apply for this loan. The minimum loan amount is Rs.25,000. The maximum is Rs.3 lakh for pensioners up to 70 years (18 times net monthly pension, or 20 times for Defence pensioners), Rs.1.5 lakh for pensioners aged above 70 and up to 75 years, and Rs.70,000, or 12 months' pension, whichever is lower, for pensioners above 75 years. This loan will need to be repaid through 60 EMIs. For pensioners above 75 years, the maximum repayment period is 24 months.

3. PNB Advance Against Gold and Jewellery

This loan is given for reasons such as medical treatment, agriculture, education, wedding arrangements, and any other legitimate reason. For non-agriculture (retail) gold loans, the loan quantum ranges from Rs.10,000 to Rs.25 lakh. The margin is 32% for bullet-repayment demand loans and 28% for EMI-based demand loans and overdraft facilities. As a collateral, the applicant can give gold jewellery or gold coins that are provided by PNB or any other scheduled bank. The interest rate for non-agriculture retail gold loans is RLLR + 0.85% p.a. for loans up to Rs.10 lakh and RLLR + 0.90% p.a. for loans above Rs.10 lakh.
